Apple is a 3.5-year-old purebred Golden Retriever from the country of Taiwan, and currently weighs 62 pounds. Five months ago in October, Apple was brought to dump by her owner at a government-run animal shelter in Taiwan and was immediately placed in death row due to limited space at the shelter. After a shelter volunteer contacted a local Golden Retriever Rescue Team, Apple was luckily rescued two days before being put down. Apple is a sweet and mellow dog; it is really hard to understand why she got abandoned. She was later tested to have Babesia infection and it told us that she was not taken good care by her owner. After six weeks of painful treatments, Apple had passed a DNA test in March to prove that she is not only completely cured from Babesia, but she does not carry any hidden disease and infection that are transferred by fleas or ticks.
